Pleating is one of the treatments on fabrics that I’m so obsessed with. Pleats are such fabulous textures! I really love textures on my dressing, adding a texture or two to an outfit is a great way to boost a stylish look.
I posted this outfit on Pose yesterday. I was playing with muted colors of the blouse, the pants, and the sandals. For a pop of color I completed the look with a gold crinkled leather clutch and an antique gold/pewter ring necklace. What do you think of this look for a casual date night?
I would never have thought that the color lime green with the shiny sparkly black could look and feel airy together. I thought those colors together would look ‘heavy’ and cumbersome. But yesterday I was fashionably surprised when I put together a look using a lime green long pleated skirt with a black sequin crop top, it looks and feels so easy breezy light! I also think the style of the shoes I chose were the perfect accents to achieve the light look. The summer heat should never stop you from being adventurous with your outfits! They just have to be light..
It’s been 67 degree-ish (and rainy) in New York and we’ve been quite (fashionably) miserable by it. Don’t you have that ‘I-don’t-know-what-to-wear’ feeling when the weather can’t make up its mind? Well, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, no? What better temperature for wearing a baggy sweater vest than this 67-ish? So, I really dig sweater vests this spring, they’re really fun and they remind me of muscle shirts which I love ’cause I think they’re sexy and flattering on the body. I also think with a color-blocking pleated silk tea skirt together they make a sophisticated outfit. Would you rock this style?
Note: I find that the sweater vests that made of ramie/cotton blend and acrylic (with a bit of wool) are the perfect ones for the cool spring. They don’t at all make you feel hot or uncomfortable.
I was on a mission to wear a maxi skirt in a new fresh way – the same old ‘bohemian’ approach kind of bores me, I’ve seen it too long. I’m all about sophistication, The Radenroro ‘Neneng‘ camisole balances the bold floral maxi skirt, forget about its white neutral color, the voluminousness of it creates the perfect proportion to the silhouette of this outfit. I’d say I think I succ-chic-fully completed my mission! Would you?
